I enjoy helping others and giving back, especially while having fun. On this page you’ll find local organizations and events I’m involved in or find worthy of my, and your, attention. You can also find out what I’m offering outside of individual coaching and energy work sessions.

Weekly relaxation/stress management classes, support for Highly Sensitive People

Are you experiencing anxiety and overwhelm due to sensitivities as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)? Approximately 15-20% of the population is Highly Sensitive…you are not alone!

Check back often to see when our next community group is scheduled, or contact me with your interest and I’ll put you on the list and notify you when we’ll have another. Please let me know if you’d prefer a daytime or evening group.

Relaxation

If you’re looking to become healthier and happier, relaxation and mindfulness classes can help. Re-energize yourself. Enjoy relaxation, mindfulness and breathing exercises and guided meditation.

We’re taking a break right now from relaxation classes, but please let me know if you have interest in classes in Bend or Sunriver and I’ll let you know when the next group is scheduled.

Wellness Retreats

Check back occasionally to see when the next wellness retreat will be scheduled. Generally retreats will be one to three day events comprising stress management and mindfulness exercises, guided meditation, writing exercises, art/creative projects and potentially yoga. If you have specific requests for a retreat focus or theme, please email me. I’d love to hear your ideas and wishes!

Joy and Wellness Through Dance

Dancing is a passion and I have been honored to be a part of the local annual fundraiser, Swinging With The Stars. This past year was my fourth year participating as a ‘pro’ dancer and I’m looking forward to my fifth. This fun night of dance performances by pairings of local dancers and business folks of all walks, benefits an amazing program, the Sparrow Clubs. Due to the pandemic response, this year’s event will be very different…but it will be happening! It should be held the 3rd weekend of October, and will be a virtual event. Stay tuned for more details.

This organization provides support and financial assistance to families with children who have very difficult, intensive medical issues, and works with other children in the schools to learn how to become mentors and community advocates. Visit http://www.swingingwiththestars.org to find out more about this fun event.

Helping Kids Through Books

If you’re looking for a worthwhile organization to volunteer for or donate to, consider the SMART program (Start Making A Reader Today). I’ve been reading weekly with students in my local school for many years. It’s great fun and so rewarding to see these young readers improve their reading skills and appreciation for books. Check out the website at http://www.getsmartoregon.org/ and discover the amazing statistics about the connection between reading skills and future life successes. Together we can give future generations a boost just by sharing books.
